AGB Training provides hospitality courses that impart experience with operating a café, preparing meals and delivering exceptional customer service under pressure. Students who successfully complete a course in this area will obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to work in a variety of kitchen settings. Students will also gain skills in customer service and management and have the opportunity to gain qualifications in Safe Food Handling, Responsible Serving of Alcohol and Responsible Serving of Gambling.

Our trainers are industry qualified and will provide students will a multitude of skills and knowledge to help them to enter the work force and potentially own and run their own food outlet.

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery

This qualification reflects the role of commercial cooks who have a supervisory or team leading role in the kitchen. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems. This qualification provides a pathway to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops, or to run a small business in these sectors.

Certificate IV in Hospitality

This qualification reflects the role of skilled operators who use a broad range of hospitality service, sales or operational skills combined with supervisory skills and sound knowledge of industry operations to plan, monitor and evaluate the work of team members. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others, and use discretion to solve non-routine problems.

This qualification provides a pathway to work as a supervisor in hospitality organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multi-skilling and for specialisation in accommodation services, food and beverage, and gaming.
