AGB has been providing nationally recognised training in Australia since 2006. Our knowledgeable team works with individuals and businesses to develop a training and employment pathway, linking current skills and knowledge with nationally recognised training qualifications.
AGB offers nationally recognised courses in the following areas: community services, work health and safety, hydraulic and civil construction design, transport and logistics, warehousing, training and assessment, business and hospitality.
In October 2006 AGB opened the doors to our Geelong Training Centre in Barwon Terrace where we began training in Manual Handling, Progressing into Transport and Logistics. In 2007, we opened our Moorabool Street site and began training in Community Services and Business.
The Transport and Logistics Hub commenced training in 2009 and became registered with VicRoads in March 2010 and WorkSafe in November 2010. We now offer training and assessment for a number of vehicle and high-risk work licences. Operating from our Moolap Training Centre, we provide students with One-on-One Driver Training in Light Rigid (LR), Medium Rigid (MR) and Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles, whilst Forklift and Elevated Working Platform (EWP) courses are delivered with a maximum of six people per class. AGB’s Warehousing, Transport and Logistics courses combine classroom-based learning with practical training in our warehouse, enriching the student experience by gaining both knowledge and skills. In 2012 we saw a need to offer similar services in the Melbourne area opening our Nunawading site, which also offers Warehousing Training including Forklift Licensing, Business, Work Health and Safety and Community Services courses.
In mid-October 2009, AGB developed a partnership with Community Veracity and SecondBite, providing Warehousing Training that is both theory and practical-based, while providing a valuable service to the local community. With the assistance and support of both Community Veracity and SecondBite, AGB is provided with fresh produce, which in turn is checked for quality and redistributed to local community groups, which in turn provide the food to those in need. Many of these students have gone on to work as a volunteer or gained part-time or full-time employment within the warehousing industry.
In 2012 AGB expanded into Melbourne, offering our suite of local courses. In 2013 AGB became an approved CRICOS 03356C provider, offering courses to international students.
